The challenges presented by COVID-19 to organizations, workers and consumers have been evident and severe. As we adjust to a ‘new normal’, organizations around the world are implementing new ways of working. The British Standards Institute (BSI) recently invited a range of experts to offer their insights on what organizations need to consider as they re-open facilities, find new ways of working, and re-establish businesses.

PrOPEL Hub Partners Professor Richard Kneller and Dr Cher Li are conducting research into issues of productivity and the use of standards. BSI asked them for their insights on the potential impacts on enterprises and the economy, as the UK begins working in a new environment.  In this interview, Richard and Cher provide their views on prospects for the economy, what factors might affect businesses during the transition out of lockdown and the potential role for greater digitization.
